Product Review Double Whammy: Rimmel Lasting Finish Breathable Primer and Rimmel Stay Matte Fix & Go Setting Spray

Hello and happy 2019, beauties!

I've been using two drugstore products and I'm ready to share! I have yet to find a primer that suits my needs, but I may have found one! Plus, I found a 2-in-1 primer and setting spray that I like just as well as my Holy Grail setting spray from NYX.

First, let's chat about the breathable primer. It applies easily and is transparent, and a pea-sized amount is enough for my face. I have applied over light moisturizer as well as oil-based moisturizers, and it's applied beautifully over both. Foundation applies very well over this primer, and the fact that it is breathable is a huge plus for my skin.

According to the website, "New Lasting Finish Breathable Primer is a lightweight long-lasting primer that helps to ensure the wear of your makeup, making it last longer." Not real helpful, but it lives up to that statement!

I usually have an issue with concealer/foundation building up in the fine lines under my eyes and around my mouth. I have ZERO issues with this primer, even after a day's wear. The setting spray and using a powder to bake my concealer certainly helps, as well.

Speaking of the setting spray, it sprays out instead of a fine mist, so hold it further away or spray then step into it. It has a floral-ish scent but it's not overpowering and goes away pretty quickly. It makes your finishing powder look more settled and my skin looks beautiful. I apply this as a second to last step, with mascara last. I spray all over my face, making sure to hit my eye makeup.

Definitely give these two a try if you're looking for a primer or a setting spray. I found them at Target for a very good price, and they're highly rated and recommended from what I saw researching.
