Product Review: Stila Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow

This post is my own opinion and not sponsored.

Hello, beauties! With the new year approaching, you may be looking for a little glitz and glam for your party look. Last year I was all about false lashes, this year, it's glitter eyes.

My job coach had mentioned Stila's Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow (yeah... we got off topic a bit!) and the seed was planted. I checked it out on Sephora and saw there was a color called "Kitten Karma" and I had to buy it. My sweet kitten's name is Karma!

OK OK back to the makeup. It's got a steep price tag, at least to me, at nearly $25 American. However, a little goes a long way so I anticipate it lasting quite a while. The package says 12 months. It has a doe foot applicator so you can control waste, as apposed to a pump. It contains .15 ounces.

According to Sephora...

What it is:
A brilliant and long-wearing, liquid glitter eyeshadow.

What it does:
Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow is a long-wearing, sparkle eyeshadow with the perfect blend of pearl and glitter to leave your eyes with incredible luster and shimmer. With its uniquely lightweight, water-infused texture, it glides on effortlessly, then dries down smoothly, locking in maximum sparkle with minimal fallout for elevated eye looks.

What it is formulated WITHOUT:
- Parabens
- Sulfates
- Phthalates
This product is an Allure Best of Beauty award winner.
It has a Sephora rating of 4.6/5 stars, 4.7 on Google. I would give it a solid 4.5.

I chose to layer this eye shadow over my work look using Neutragena's Nourishing Longwear Eyeshadow + Built-In Primer in Cool Plum.

The eye shadow from Neutragena is a daily favorite, as it contains primer and really does have staying power. It has some chalky fallout on the light pink but overall is very high quality. I found it at Walmart and used a coupon.

I did a pretty basic day look with black liquid liner and 2 coats of Neutragena Hydro Boost waterproof mascara. Then I applied a few dots from the doe foot of the Stila eye shadow then blended with a flat brush, making sure to avoid the black liner. I then added another coat of mascara. You could easily use your finger instead of a flat brush but it may not be as easy to control where the glitter goes. It had minimal fallout unless you touch it, so hands off.

You can easily go from a basic day look to a dazzling night look with one product and maybe 30 seconds of effort. A brighter color of the glitter would look amazing over a light colored shadow for more impact or a bolder look. I would love to try the black color, Molten Midnight, next.

If you're looking for a way to add glitter, definitely give this one a try!
