Product Review: Simple Smoothing Facial Scrub

This review is my opinion and is not sponsored.

Hi beauties! Hope you're doing well and loving life. I have another drugstore product review today, for something that was not so impressive. I found Simple's Smoothing Facial Scrub at Target for around $6.99 originally, however it was on sale so I paid closer to $5.

My preference is towards cleansers that exfoliate, using a separate product is work! I kept this in the shower with a gentle cleanser, where it took me about 6 months to use up when using an average of 3 times a week. I use a quarter sized amount and massage over face, neck, and chest.

As with all Simple product, it has no harsh chemicals, artificial perfumes, or dyes. I have sensitive skin, which is why I always come back to this brand. If you had extremely sensitive skin, this would be perfect. However, it simply did not apply enough exfoliation for me, even while using Differin gel.

It's called "smoothing" and I guess I'm looking for more of a "polishing" in an exfoliating product. It has beneficial vitamins and says it will help your moisturizer sink in better. That's true, as it's removing dead skin that would otherwise soak it up. It also contains rice powder as well as hydrated silica, both incredibly tiny and good at smoothing rough dead skin. This is highly advantageous over plastic, which harms the environment, or walnut shells, which cut your skin.

And did I mention that it doesn't have any animal derived products? Bonus.

This is good, but not something I'd be head over heels excited to buy again. Even if it was on sale!

Have any of you beauties used this product?
