Product Review: L'Oreal Paris Voluminous Lash Paradise Waterproof Mascara

Hi everybody! I'd been looking for a new mascara because I'd been lax on purchasing a new one. I'd let my CoverGirl Lash Blast Waterproof dry out (tragedy), but continued to use it anyway. This was infinitely dumb of me, as it caused me to have crusty, flaky lashes and red irritated eyes. I had to wait until pay day (story of my life), but I had seen and heard a lot of hype about L'Oreal Paris Voluminous Lash Paradise and gave it a try. I bought it at Walgreens for $9.99, although it's $7.49 at Target and $8.97 at Walmart. It's also $9.99 on the L'Oreal website.
As far as ratings go, I would give this a solid 4.5, although I have no idea what a 5 would be. The L'Oreal website rating is 4.3/5 (500+ ratings), and the google rating is 4.5/5 (>150 ratings). A quick browse on the Google Machine tells me 4.3-4.5 are what others are saying on other blogs.
I adore the pretty pink tube, and the brush is easy to work with. It's soft and made of bristles, not rubber, so it really gets all the tiny lashes in the corners. It's available in 3 colors, blackest black, black, and black brown. I purchased blackest black.
It claims to have no flaking, smudging, or clumping, and I would agree with all three of these claims. I can use it on my lower lashes without looking like a raccoon, and it holds a dramatic curl after using an eyelash curler, and it stays bold and looking good all day. I remove this with Mary Kay Eye Makeup Remover on a cotton pad.
Overall, I'm really impressed with this mascara, and it's been a long time since that's happened (we're talking possibly a decade). I would definitely recommend this to a friend AND repurchase.
