Product Review: L'Oreal La Palette Nude Intense
This post is my own opinion, and not a paid endorsement.
I was stuck in an eye rut a few weeks ago, having been using Too Faced Boudoir Eyes palette for almost a year continuously. Yes, I know. It's that good, though. The La Palette collection showed up on Ibotta with a $3 rebate, and I was sold. Nude 2 had the widest array of colors I didn't already have, so it was my top choice. As you can see, there are several looks here, from a warm beige trio, to some ashy crease colors, to the berry tones on the end.
I absolutely LOVED the berry tones. I've worn them a lot with a lot of different lip looks, and the color really makes my blue eyes pop.
The left side of the palette also had a nice look when used together, more of a daytime office look for me. I played around with mixing them up and just keeping to this palette.
This is the whole palette swatched out on my forearm, on top of my favorite eyeshadow primer, Wet n Wild Fergie Take on the Day eye shadow primer, which is now apparently called Picture Perfect primer. A tiny bit goes a long way, people, I've probably had this tube a year or more.
I gotta say, though, that for something called "Intense"... this is not intense. Hardly any pigmentation for colors so rich and deep looking in the pan, they'd pop, but really, I had to build quite a bit using the darkest plummy shade to really get a nice dark crease.
This palette retailed at $15.99 at Target, With the $3 Ibotta rebate and my 5% for using my Red card, it was approximately $13. Would I buy it again, probably not. Based on the pigmentation, I'd rather spend my money on a good Naked palette for the money, use it more often, and get much better wear out of it.
