Nightly Routine: Take It Off
Let's start by taking it all off... makeup that is. You can't put it all on then not take it off, trust me, I did it for years and my skin shows it. Thankfully, I've always avoided the sun like a fat girl avoids gym class (true story).
Let's get this over with, I've made this awkward for both of us.
Good old Pond's Cold Cream. Your grandma smells like it, and so do I.
Scoop it out with your (clean) bare hand and slather that shit around, avoiding your eye area. Let it sit a minute or two, then wipe off with toilet paper or tissues. Very important though, DO NOT FLUSH the toilet paper with cold cream on it, it will clog your toilet.

Your skin should be clean, soft, and smooth. After that, it's Mary Kay Eye Makeup Remover. I've been buying this for years, and it's the only product I go out of my way to buy. Use toilet paper again or just a cotton ball. Either way, there's no way in hell to ever get all your mascara or eyeliner off so give up after a few swipes.
After that... Micellar Cleansing Water by Simple. Use a cotton ball or toilet paper and just swipe around getting all the little bits you may have left behind. Hairline, crease of nose, eyebrows, etc. This product is a literal game changer for me. Notice that this routine involves NO water except this cleansing water? There's no drying soap, chlorine from city water and who knows what from old apartment building pipes. Just product and clean toilet paper or cotton balls. I use this in the morning if I don't wash my face in the shower with a mild cleanser.
Well folks, that's it. I usually follow up with a moisturizer in the winter but frankly most of the time I don't need it. My skin is supple and soft without it.
